'Tis the season for holiday cheer and what better way to spread the cheer than with delicious vegan holiday drinks? It’s that time of year again, where we are all looking for the perfect recipe for Christmas. The holiday season is the perfect time to indulge in decadent vegan drinks, and try your hand at some different beverage making to get into the holiday spirit.
Whether you’re hosting a party or just looking for something special to sip on while you celebrate, these five vegan Christmas drinks and cocktails (with non-alcoholic options) are sure to delight. From creamy eggnog to peppermint hot chocolate, we have something for everyone. So, grab your favourite mug and get ready to sip on some of our favourite vegan holiday drinks, here are five that will make your holiday season even more special. Let’s get a little creative this festive season!
#1 Vegan Peppermint Hot Chocolate

Ingredients:
1 cup of oat milk (or any other plant-based milk!)
50g of dark chocolate
2 tbsp of maple syrup
Pinch of salt
¼ tsp of vanilla extract
3 drops of peppermint extract or crushed candy canes
Whipped coconut cream
Recipe:
Add the oat milk and dark chocolate to a small pot on low heat, mixing until the chocolate melts.
Add in the maple syrup, salt, vanilla extract and peppermint extract or candy canes and mix until everything is combined.
Top with the whipped coconut cream and you’re good to go!
#2 Vegan Eggnog

Ingredients:
2 cups of plant-based milk
1 can of coconut milk
3 tbsp of maple syrup
1/4 tsp of ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp of ground nutmeg
½ tsp of vanilla extract
(optional) 15 ml of bourbon
Recipe:
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend on high speed until the mixture is creamy. Feel free to taste and adjust the ingredients to your liking - make it your own! Serve with a pinch of cinnamon.
#3 Mulled Wine

Ingredients:
1 bottle of red wine
1/4 cup of brandy
1 orange, sliced
5 whole cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
1 star anise
3 tbsp of maple syrup
Recipe:
Combine all ingredients in a large pot over medium heat. Cook until the mixture simmers and reduce the heat to low. Let the mulled wine simmer for at least 30 minutes, adjusting the flavour as you wish. Serve with an orange slice.
#4 Christmas Cranberry Cocktail

Ingredients:
1/2 cup of cranberry juice
100ml of whiskey
1/8 cup of maple syrup
1/4 cup of orange juice
Juice of 1 lime
100ml of ginger ale
Recipe:
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add all the ingredients except for the ginger ale. Shake until well mixed. Strain the mixture into two glasses and top off with ginger ale.
#5 Christmas Punch

Ingredients:
250ml of cranberry juice
200ml of sparkling wine
150ml of ginger ale
150ml of rum
Recipe:
Fill a large bowl with ice. Pour all the ingredients over it, and stir to combine. Quick and easy - enjoy!
