rhian-hy

Vegan YouTuber:
Rhian HY

Rhian HY is a vegan YouTuber who knows how to keep it real with her followers. She was raised vegetarian but later became vegan, and on her channel, she is open and honest with her followers that while she is vegan, she isn’t militant and does make mistakes - just like everyone else.

“And while ideally the world would not be set up the way that it is with regards to, you know, cruelty basically to animals, I do think there are times where you can only do so much, especially when it comes to being pretty ill and need to take medication” Rhian said in her YouTube video titled, It’s me. The bad vegan

Her vegan Instagram feed alone will inspire you to get a tattoo or two (or ten), and she is filled with recommendations on all things beauty, including her favorite makeup brushes, eyeliner tutorials, and so much more. Be sure to check Rhian out!

rachel ama

Vegan Blogger & Author:
Rachel Ama

Rachel Ama is a London-based vegan blogger and cookbook author who not only kills it in the kitchen but also slays in the gym. In addition to her vegan Instagram account, be sure to check out her cookbook: “Rachel Ama's Vegan Eats: Tasty plant-based recipes for every day.”

Ama’s vegan Instagram has almost 110,000 followers. She shines inside and out, and we’re drooling over every single dish she posts.

genesis butler

Vegan Activist:
Genesis Butler

The next inspiring plant-based gal on our list is Genesis Butler. This 12 year old (yes, you read that right - 12) vegan activist is making a huge statement amongst the plant-based community and beyond, regardless of her age. In her first TEDx Talk (and hopefully not her last), Butler focuses on and highlights the direct correlation between meat consumption and the environment and how ultimately cutting back on animal products will help aid the damage done to the planet. She gracefully lays out some pretty scary figures, but in a charming and digestible way.

In addition to being one of the YOUNGEST people EVER to give a TEDx Talk (she did this when she was only 10 years old), she also had the courage to encourage the Pope to give up animal products for Lent and has even started a non-profit - Genesis for Animals, which financially aids those who devote their lives to rescuing animals. She has also received numerous awards, including:

  • Vegan Kid of the Year award from Vegans Are Cool
  • PETA’s Kid of the Year Award

Legend! Be sure to check out her entire TedX Talk

nisha voraLawyer Turned Vegan:
Nisha Vora

Plant-based food ain’t boring, and Nisha Vora, a vegan Instagramer, YouTuber, and blogger has come to prove this time and time again. She wasn’t always a vegan advocate, however. Let’s back it up a bit!

Vora is a woman of all trades. She was an attorney before discovering her love for food, and now resides in Brooklyn, New York where she shares all of her delicious recipes with vegan-food loving followers - like us! Her journey began when she decided to backpack and travel for six months. As traveling tends to do, she discovered the importance of living a life “with adventure, laughter, and authenticity.”

She soon stopped practicing law when she became vegan and focused her energy into opening Hungryroot, a food startup where she directs and manages the mouth-watering photographs - she even has some handy guides to food photography on her blog, if you’re so inclined - Rainbow Plant Life

Vora has been featured on a number of publications, including:

  • Veg News Magazine
  • Well+Good,
  • Buzzfeed
  • Canva

Check out her vegan Instagram (which has over 387k freakin’ followers) for more plant-based recipe ideas.

As if she couldn’t inspire us more, Thomas is also the founder and CEO of The Happy Org (Healthy Active Positive Purposeful Youth), a non-profit that strives to make affordable and eventually free plant-based nutrition and culinary education in at-risk communities.
